By the way, in this question, I was thinking of those who are actually formally studying language. Those in the early (earlier?) years. Last week's question was about the stage beyond that, but some of the answers apply here, too, so take a look at those answers....

Talk to EVERYONE- the waiters, the clerks, the neighbors, the guards, etc.
Keep a notebook with you...I still have to keep this regularly...
