Then mix in 1/2 of flour mixture, add the sour cream, and finish with the other 1/2 of the flour mixture.

Use a greased jelly roll pan (10x15). Bake at 350 for 20 min. Cool completely before frosting:
6 oz. cream cheese, 1/4 c. butter, 2 c. powdered sugar, 1 tsp. each vanilla & lemon juice. It makes a lot of frosting, so sometimes I cut it in half and it is still plenty. Great thing about this is that it makes 24 very large pieces or many more, depending on how you slice it.Jenniferhttp://www.divineadventure.netnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4088576474458664356.post-45862236668953321242014-10-27T20:48:05.538+03:002014-10-27T20:48:05.538+03:00I love that easy crust, Betsy! I like to make apple pie filling in large batches, because it is so easy to freeze and then you pull it out, warm it up and serve it over ice cream, pancakes, crepes, waffles, etc. Jenniferhttp://www.divineadventure.netnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4088576474458664356.post-63072687573235223132014-10-27T17:21:36.304+03:002014-10-27T17:21:36.304+03:00I just got something like a crockpot (a "mult...I just got something like a crockpot (a "multicooker"), and I love it! In fact, I recently even made your Black Magic Cake in it. :-)Phyllishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09529794989164847124noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4088576474458664356.post-24384783100538524432014-10-26T23:49:33.623+03:002014-10-26T23:49:33.623+03:00pumpkin spiced doughnuts:

Here is a favorite fall recipe of mine. Lots of apples in Turkey in the fall.

Swedish Apple Pie

Apple Filling:

6-7 large apples peeled and chopped
1/3 – ½ cup sugar (depending on how sweet you like things)
½ tsp. cinnamon
Dough:

1 cup flour
¾ cup sugar
½ cup softened butter or margarine
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
½ tsp. cinnamon
Instructions:

Preheat the oven to 350 Mix the apples with the sugar and cinnamon and put in a 9” deep pie dish. Mix the remaining ingredients. The dough will be fairly thick. Drop it by the spoonful over the apples, and it will spread out while baking.

Bake for 35-40 minutes. Let it cool for at least a half an hour before serving. Betsy de Cruzhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16787903903743238209noreply@blogger.com
